Underwood Farms Fall Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Patch
We’ve tried nearly every pumpkin patch in a one-hour radius and have determined that Underwood Farms’ Harvest Festival is our family favorite. Hay rides, corn cannons, mazes, demonstrations, animals, bouncy castles, and choosing a pumpkin off the vine…Underwood Farms makes pumpkin picking a fun and memorable tradition.
The Underwood Pumpkin Patch became our family tradition for a number of years. Instead of dictating our experiences, I’ll break this post into useful tips.
Arm & Leg
Admission is expensive enough, but many activities are paid entry. With just our two boys, we’d go through $100 easy….and we haven’t even bought food or pumpkins! We took control of the budget by downloading the list of paid activities and allowing each boy to choose three: we know exactly how many tickets to buy and we’ve capped the spending.
Admission during weekdays is less than half! You can get in at only $6/person. Additionally, a lot of the paid rides and activities are shut down, so you don’t have the added cost of tickets or kids asking to try “just one more ride.” But there is still plenty of free fun to be had. The playground, the animals, the corn maze, the wagon rides…all of the permanent attractions are still up and running. So you can save yourself a fortune and still have fun by going during the week.
