The Los Angeles Area is full of family-friendly events and destinations; you just need to know where to look! The LA Boys Blog chronicles our family’s discoveries as we continually strive to find new, educational, and unique fun for our two boys. My hope is to inspire those with young children to get out and explore the weird and wonderful and amazing adventures Los Angeles, California has to offer.

The Revolution in Huntington Beach

A free event held at the scenic Huntington Beach Central Park. The event was very well organized and executed, and full of interesting educational and historical information.

Tet Festival

A quaint Lunar New Years celebration sponsored by the Vietnamese community.

Huntington Gardens

Botanical Gardens aren’t particularly engaging for kids, but the Children’s Garden and Plant Lab provide a positive experience.

Adventure Playground

This playground has all the things little boys want to do but are rarely allowed: playing with nails, swimming in the mud, building a tree fort, or splashing in the fountain. It’s low-budget, get-messy fun.

Date Night

Ice Age Hair Ball

A formal, fundraising gala at the La Brea Tar Pit Museum that requires all guests…to have crazy hair.
